In current scenario, entire process of formal education needs adequate foundation of informal education. Early childhood is the kind of stage in which the child has been prepared to encounter to the formal education through the mean of informal education such as pre-school, play-school etc. Early Childhood Education is very sensitive stage of education which can be considered as the foundational base of entire educational development of the child. This area has lack of attention in the past reforms of education. However, it has been taking into consideration into the new education policy which not only emphasising its importance but also suggesting the universalisation of it. Evaluation Process in early childhood education is also very crucial aspect, but in current scenario, it can be addressed through the new eye-sight.In the history of Indian Education system, there is not the single evidence that emphasise the importance of early childhood care as a significant part of education system. It was merely the document on paper and neglected by the system. However, NEP-2020 brings out a well-thought out-plan for the universalisation of Early Childhood Education and provides certain kinds of guidelines to the Government to implement adequate policies on it.
