TOWARDS PEACE AND SOCIAL HARMONY : THE STATEGY OF NEED SALIENCY

Peace and social harmony constitute a topic of global concern. While a number of approaches nested for creating conditions of peace and social harmony the present investigation emphasizes the behavioral perspective of identifying salient needs in subsets of human population and taking Steps for their satisfaction. It is posited that different subsets of human populations have different salient needs. It is further hypothesized that experience of peace is re salient need satisfaction and is unrelated to no salient need satisfaction. An empirical study was conducted to test these two basic propositions.
